ART CONSERVATION: Restoring old documents, maps, and artworks

Bintana Studio's first lecture-demonstration in the new series of in-depth conversations on art conservation hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Manila, in partnership with the De La Salle Univeristy-Dasmariñas Center for Heritage Conservation (CHeC) last November 25.

For the first part of the talk, master art conservator Ephraim "Eddie" Jose did a demo on paper conservation using handmade Japanese paper on an old Russian poster. For the second half, he made an introduction on silk and karibari. This event was an opportunity to co-learn among fellow conservators, students, artists, and everyone interested in art conservation.
