On February 28. 2024, Japan Information and Culture Center Director Mr. Shigehiro Matsuda visiting the high school studio to see the twelve-panel Samurai Battlefield Flag Regalia and the Taima Mandala—two historic Japanese artworks dating back to 250-350 years old.

Mr. Jose, along with his dedicated students, demonstrated their meticulous restoration methods using authentic Japanese materials such as washi paper, brushes, and paste – a testament to his training in Japan.
